Kensington Park School – A Case Study

KENSINGTON PARK SCHOOL

Situated near our Hyde Park sports hub, the Kensington Park School is an independent, coeducational, day and boarding school which has a lower school aged 11-16 and sixth form for young people aged 16-18 years old.

Aim:
To support committed and talented pupils who are already spending significant amounts of time developing their competitive tennis career alongside the pursuit of their academic studies.

Actions:
Our unique partnership has helped by providing the coaching support and assessments that are required to award tennis scholarships to Kensington Park School and its pupils.

Tennis scholarships are awarded at entry to both Kensington Park Seniors and the Sixth Form.

For pupils in years 12 & 13

  • 2 x 1-hour individual lessons per week
  • 2 x 2 hours’ team practice squads (1:6 ratio, minimum of 4 players) per week
  • Direction on strength and conditioning with automatic membership at Ethos, the Imperial College sports and fitness centre.
  • Access to our cardholder scheme (for advanced court bookings)

For pupils in years 7 – 11

  • 1 x 1-hour individual lesson per week
  • 1 x 2-hour team practice squad
  • Direction on strength and conditioning
