Can my child go home by themselves at the end of an activity?

Children cannot leave any Park Sports venue by themselves unless you provide us with prior written consent.

My child now has a clash in their school schedule with the course dates, can I postpone to next term?

When a course has started unfortunately not. However, we can try to move the child to a different course at the same level during another weekday if available.

What clothing and footwear should my child wear?

When it comes to clothes kids can wear whatever they’re most comfortable in really. Just remember they will be active – think shorts, tracksuit bottoms, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. Keep the jeans and heavy coats at home. Shoes wise, we’d suggest that kids wear a comfortable pair of trainers, as these will stop them from slipping and getting foot and ankle injuries when on the court. During the Summer months please apply a high factor sun lotion. If you are unsure, please contact us before arrival.

Weekly Netball Fun

Our after school Junior Netball courses run every term and are perfect for keen players of all abilities to hone their skills and understanding of the game.

For all, beginners and experienced alike.

Our Junior Netball Courses run at Lammas Park for both girls and boys in school years 3-7!

Each session we will cover a different aspect of the game and the structure is such that all participants walk away with newly acquired, or enhanced netball skills in a fun and safe environment.

Park Sports partners with self-employed England Netball coaches who ensure every week is fun, energetic, and the perfect platform to learn and play netball in a friendly environment.

Course Schedules

Week 1 - Introduction to the Programme

An opportunity for participants to get to know each other
Coach to meet everyone and observe individual learning needs

Weeks 2-7 - Essential Ball Skills / Footwork / Divisional Match Play / Attack Work / Defence

Three key passing techniques (chest, bounce, shoulder)
Learning the footwork rules and combining with ball skills
Various attacking techniques (sprint, dodge, evasion, front drive etc.)
3 stages of defence / zoning
Conditioned Match play focusing on positioning

*Each week ends in round robin match play.
