Our cafés at WTW Hyde Park, WTW Regent’s Park, WTW Chiswick and WTW Lammas Park are now open for takeaway! For more information visit our centre specific pages.

Please be sure you book your court in advance online as we expect demand to be high and do not come to the Centre without having booked first to ensure social distancing.

To ensure the Health and Safety of our staff and customers we are unable to loan any equipment. Balls and grips can be purchased, but you will need to mark your balls with a marker pen. All our Centres are currently cashless until further notice, alternatively you can use any credit you have on your account.

Please note, there are no toilet facilities available at WTW Lammas Park, WTW Pitshanger Park, WTW Chiswick and WTW Greenwich Park.

Bikes must be locked at the front of the Centres. Please do not bring them to the Pavilion, gardens or onto the courts.

Once the government guidelines permit, we will reoffer football and netball pitch bookings. Our tennis programme is now available to book.

Due to the current situation we encourage parents / guardians to drop their children off and collect them at the end as no seating is available at the centres or outside.

In keeping with LTA guidelines, there will be a 5 minute buffer period between sessions. You will enter the courts 5 minutes after the hour and vacate the court 5 minutes before the hour.

In the meantime, we are working hard to to ensure social distancing measures are in place in our clubhouses to make sure they are safe places for our customers and staff to be and hope to be able to open the rest of the facilities as soon as possible.

Please read LTA Guidance for Tennis Players and our recommendations below before you play!

STAY ALERT, CONTROL THE VIRUS AND SAVE LIVES!

CLICK TO SEE OUR RECOMMENDATION TO KEEP YOU SAFE WHILE PLAYING

We recommend the following to keep you safe during your visit to our venue:

BEFORE YOU PLAY

Do not play if any of you:
– Are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus
– Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
– Are a vulnerable individual. A vulnerable individual is an elderly individual and/or an individual with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma and those whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer or other conditions requiring such therapy.

PREPARING TO PLAY

– Follow the entrance and exit markings and allow people to vacate the court before you enter.
– Wash your hands with a disinfectant soap and water (for 20 seconds or longer), or use a hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available, before going to the court.
– Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles. Do not share racquets or any other equipment such as wristbands, grips, hats and towels.
– Bring a full water bottle to avoid touching a tap or water fountain handle.
– Use new balls and a new grip, if possible. (and mark them)
– Consider taking extra precautions such as wearing gloves.
– If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upper sleeve.
– Arrive as close as possible to when you need to be there.
– Avoid touching court gates, fences, benches, etc. if you can.

WHEN PLAYING

– Try to stay at least two metres apart from other players. Do not make physical contact with them (such as shaking hands or a high five).
– Avoid touching your face after handling a ball, racquet or other equipment. Wash your hands promptly if you have touched your eyes, nose or mouth.
– Avoid sharing food, drinks or towels.
– Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent. Avoid using your hands to pick up the balls or wear protective gloves.
– Stay on your side of court. Avoid changing ends of the court.
– Remain apart from other players when taking a break.
– If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet.

AFTER PLAYING

– Leave the court as soon as reasonably possible.
– Wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitizer after coming off the court.
– Do not use the locker room or changing area. Shower at home.
– No extra-curricular or social activity should take place. No congregation after playing.
– All players should leave the facility immediately after play.

USE FOUR BALLS OR SIX BALLS

Although unlikely, it’s possible that a tennis ball can transmit the COVID-19 virus, as virtually any hard surface can transmit the disease. So here is an extra precaution you can take to keep safe when playing tennis:
– Open a can of tennis balls and mark them.
– Use your racquet head or feet to advance the ball to the other side of the court.
