WHAT WE DO

The Will to Win schools team can offer your school a number of coaching opportunities, ranging from in school coaching taster sessions, to free courts 3-5pm, weekdays and also a fantastic schools tournament. Our Schools Development Programme (SDP) is designed to offer children who attend Local primary schools a chance to play tennis and take part in a fun inter schools tournament in June 2010.

What is included in the SDP

•  ½ hr free coaching session per year group
• 3 x 1hr free coaching sessions at one of our fantastic centres for selected children
• Fun inter schools tournament.
• Free courts in April to September between the hours or 3pm – 5pm Monday – Friday.
• An introduction and opportunity into the FUNdamentals of tennis in your area by enthusiastic coaches.

How do We sign up to the 2010 SDP?

To sign up all you need to do is complete the SDP application form and send it to schools@willtowin.co.uk

How Much Does it cost?

Participation in the Schools Development Programme is Free.

Who can take part in the SDP?

Any primary schools in the catchment areas.

What is available for my school if we are a private school?

If your school would like to use the facilities and coaches from our centres then we can offer you block bookings at agreeable coaching rates.

Where is my local centre?

We have five main centres across London. Click the Will to Win locations at the top of the website for more information and directions.

Do we need to provide equipment for the children?

Our Schools team will provide all equipment for the taster sessions and any coaching sessions at the club. This will include rackets, balls, nets and any further teaching kit. If however your school has equipment then feel free to use this.

As a school are we able to take part in the taster session and not the tournament?

We encourage all schools to undergo the full SDP as then the children will be able to benefit from the full three stages of Learning, Developing and Competition.

Can all my students take part in the Schools Development Programme?

Our SDP concentrates on pupils in years 3 and 4. However coaching is available to all year groups, however the SDP will not be available for all years.

How do we get to the centre?

During the free coaching sessions at our centres it is the parents responsibility to bring the children to the centre. On tournament day it is the responsibility of the school. This can however be subsidised or arranged by us if there is valid reason.

What are the key dates?

• All taster sessions will take part between 10th May – 24th May
• Training sessions will take place from 3rd June for 3 weeks
• Regents Park Schools will be from 4-6pm on Thursday 3rd, 10th and 17th June
• Hyde Park Schools will be from 4-6pm on Friday 4th, 11th and 18th June
• Annual Ace’s Tournament will take place on 25th June 2010 at Regents  Park 10am-3pm.
