Will to Win is a growing public sports centre operator and all of our venues are in fantastic locations offering great opportunities for culture, leisure and a variety of sports.

This new position will have a roving brief covering our sports centres and cafés at Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, Chiswick, Richmond and two centres in Ealing. This is a superb opportunity for a skilled senior manager with excellent interpersonal skills, a capacity for hard work and the ability to motivate diverse and talented teams to deliver high standards to our customers. This is a hands-on role and will involve regular travel between the centres in addition to some weekend, bank holiday and occasional evening work.

The successful candidate will have a solid track record and experience of

  • Managing and motivating diverse teams in a customer environment such as a retail, leisure or sports related setting
  • Managing multiple sites and teams of people
  • Driving continuous improvements in customer service standards
  • Managing budgets, sales and expenses targets
  • Recruiting and developing talented, friendly and positive people
  • Establishing clear performance standards and building the teams who deliver them
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of merchandising, housekeeping, health & safety and presentation across the business.

Sports Centre Assistant

Will to Win is a growing public sports centre operator and all of our venues are in fantastic locations offering great opportunities for culture, leisure and a variety of sports.

This role is a great opportunity for those looking for an entry level position in the sports industry. Background in sports management would be a bonus.

Duties include:

Promoting the sports programme for adults and children, booking courts, pitches and courses, dealing with customer queries in person, via phone and/or e-mails. Centre Assistants will also be required to serve refreshments if required. Other duties include managing cardholder records, helping to maintain the database, selling of sports goods and liaising with sports coaches to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Must be flexible to work varying shifts, across any five days in seven and have experience in working in high volume, professional establishments in a customer facing role.

Good communication skills and good command of English, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, lively personality and a flexible manner. The candidate should be smart, presentable and approachable and have excellent time management.

We are also interested to hear from students looking for a seasonal summer position, particularly those interested in progressing to a career in catering or events.

Senior Barista

Senior Barista

Fixed term contract, 6 months, variable hours

£8.00 – £9.00

Regent’s Park, Hyde Park

Will to Win is a growing public sports centre operator offering year round café destinations within London parks.

We are looking for an experienced barista to join the cafe team at our centres during our busy summer season. Shifts will be variable in line with opening hours, including weekends. The preferred candidate would be available to start before the end of February.

As well as barista duties there will be food preparation tasks to be carried out as well as other ad-hoc tasks to support the tennis and events arms of the centre.

In order to make this role a success you will need experience of working in a fast paced café environment. You will be entirely comfortable getting the best from our mazzer grinder and la marzocco linea pb machine, and be able to pour exquisite latte art. Supervising and motivating other barista trained assistants will be a crucial part of the role, as well as visiting other cafes in the Will to Win group to carry out standards checks and on-going staff training.

The ideal candidate:

  • has a genuine love for coffee
  • has latte art skills & knows how to use the la marzocco linea pb machine
  • can work efficiently during busy periods
  • has an energetic personality and a can-do attitude
  • is great with people – both colleague and customers
  • must be able to work any 5 days in 7

Café Assistant

  • This is a seasonal role for six months during our busy summer months, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent role subject to performance. We are looking for people who are passionate about food and customer service. Barista training would be an advantage.

Duties include:

  • Preparing food and drink to cater for our artisan style seasonal menus
  • Presenting and merchandising the food offer to standards required
  • Serving food and drinks to a wide range of customers with a smile
  • Following WTW food Safety Policies to ensure high hygiene standards

Café Assistant may also be required to help on the sport desk where needed.

Community Tennis Development Coach

Job Title: Community Tennis Development Coach – Will to Win

Summary Description: Will to Win is recruiting for a Community Tennis Development Coach. The role will work across all our centre locations and will require the coach to deliver after school programmes in these communities.
The role would involve administration work at £10 per hour and £25-£40 an hour for off-site coaching after school. This will be on a self-employed, part time basis (around 20 hours per week), with the potential to develop into a full time position.

Job Specification:
Background to the Organisation: Will to Win Ltd is the leading and largest private provider of public tennis in the UK, developing and managing facilities and programs for the benefit of tennis and the local community at many venues across London – with over 100 courts and 35 coaches. WTW was awarded Middlesex Club of the Year and works closely with the LTA and councils developing public tennis programmes and facilities.
We are committed to working with teams of professionally qualified coaches and staff members to provide teaching to all ages and abilities. We deliver community tennis through schools programs, a full range of adult and children’s courses, tournaments, teams, group and individual coaching.

Essential personal skills and qualities:

  • Must have a keen passion for tennis and play to a high level
  • Minimum LTA Level 2 Coach Qualification or equivalent
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK

Groundsman/Maintenance Person

Groundsman/Maintenance Person

Will to Win is the leading provider of public tennis in London and requires a Groundsman/Maintenance person to ensure the courts and facilities are kept up to a high standard.

The role will involve court and grounds maintenance, site upkeep, gardening, transporting, ad hoc maintenance and ensuring the upkeep of equipment. All equipment will be provided.

A clean driving licence and preferably your own transport are required. You will need to have a valid work permit if necessary.

Hours are flexible 20 weekly. Location at various sites around Chiswick and Ealing & Greater London.

Qualities required: Motivation, technical knowledge, ability to solve problems, ability to work on own initiative. Experience of grounds maintenance preferred.
