JUNIOR CAMP FOR 7-14 YEAR OLDS
 
 
The plan of the week:
 
 Day 1: Solid foundation. Ground strokes – co-ordination, footwork and movement with combination drills. Volley technique – co-ordination, footwork and movement.
 Day 2: Progressive development. Consistency with the use of spin and technique. Also some groups will be working on serve.
 Day 3: Serves and approach shots using power and control. We will also be working on fitness tests, smashes and lobs.
 Day 4: Match preparation, combination drills and specialty shots.
 Day 5: Tournament (parents are welcome to watch the tennis tournament from 11.00am) *The tournament is optional, but we strongly recommend you take part.
 
 
Each day will be divided into 4 sessions:
 
 10.00-10.55am – warm up and technical session
 11.05am-12.00pm – drills related to the technical theme
 12.00-1.00pm lunch – courts available for practice
 1.55pm – post lunch team game and related tactics
 2.05-3.00pm – drill session and related fun games
 
 
Each day will also involve games such as waves, cross eyed singles, execution-resurrection, lives and prisoners.Team games will be used to develop coordination and balance. All the sessions are structured, fun and informative. We will try to put you in groups according to ability and age.
*The plan will be changed according to the standard of the group and the weather.
 
 
If you need to borrow rackets at any time, please ask a coach. If you have any questions or problems, again our qualified coaches will be happy to help. The camp is to be enjoyed and this is done best if you eat, rest and drink during break times.
 
 
Lunch will be available for those who have booked it at 12.15pm. This includes a drink, sandwich (ask for choice), packet of crisps and chocolate bar or fruit. There will be water and squash available throughout the day. Within the pavilion we have full changing and refreshment facilities available.
