HIGH QUALITY SPORTS PROVISION FOR ALL

Will to Win Tennis Centres are affiliated to the national tennis governing body (LTA) and as evidence of best practice have been awarded Club Mark Accreditation and Beacon status by Middlesex/Kent LTA. Via an agreements with the Royal Parks, Ealing & Hounslow Councils we service the local community by providing:

  • Excellent tennis and sports facilities
  • Programmes of courses and drop-in sessions catering for all ages and abilities
  • Access to individual coaching for all
  • Café and clubhouse facilities

The centres operate according to published Tennis Centre Rules. We work hard to maintain high standards to cater for the needs of all users and therefore implement the following standards.


ACCESS TO TENNIS COURTS

  1. Under 16s can use courts FREE (subject to availability, no advance booking), Monday - Friday 3-6pm. This includes a child playing tennis with an adult.
  2. The tennis centre has adopted the LTA child protection policy and has a child protection officer.
  3. Members of the public can access a FREE Courtcard (enabling quick, easy booking, up to 3 days in advance)
  4. Minimum no. of courts available for public bookings at all times, 2-7 days in advance.
    If bookings are not made in the 48 hours prior to the court time, Will to Win reserves the right to allocate the courts for additional tennis activity.
  5. Courts can be booked online and via Reception, walk in or by phone. Off Peak: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Peak: all other times
  6. The programme of group coaching takes priority over all other court use.
  7. At Regents Park Tennis Centre, members of the public have access to Courts 1/2/3/4 when floodlit as above (minimum 2 courts, 2-7 days in advance). This may be restricted when additional courts are used for exceptionally large numbers of players at: Wednesday Social Tennis, midweek Adult Group Courses, Winter Floodlit League matches 
  8. Only approved coaches are permitted to coach at the centres. Individual coaching fees reflect coach qualifications and experience. Coaches operate as self-employed, payment is made directly to the coach. Maximum 4 courts used for individual coaching at Peak times at Regents Park , 3 at Hyde Park , 5 at Ealing or Chiswick - excludes programme


COACHING PROMISE

All coaches:

  1. are qualified and LTA licensed (or working towards the licence within an agreed timescale)
  2. are aware of and act upon all safety issues in lessons
  3. carry out lessons without favouritism or discrimination
  4. are familiar with and proactively promote social inclusion policies
  5. have public liability insurance and a valid CRB disclosure if working with children
  6. are fully prepared and prompt for each lesson, working maximum 5 hours continuous with appropriate time off court per week
  7. provide guidance on tennis development for pupils, with suggestions of appropriate courses, sessions, teams and events at the tennis centre
  8. work as part of the coaching team to encourage tennis participation within the local community
  9. deliver a range of lessons including individuals, schools, groups and junior squads
  10. are familiar with the coaching techniques used by the team and as such are able to substitute for another coach
  11. charge for individual lessons according to their qualifications and experience.
