COURTS
How can I book courts?
Either in person or over the phone up to 3 days in advance. You’ll need to pay for the court when you book. Smart card holders can book a week in advance- also courts are available to book on line once you have created a profile with your unique user id
Do I have to be a cardholder to be able to book courts?
No. we are a public facility and anyone can book a court. We have a smart card holder scheme for regular players, which allows you to book up to 7 days in advance.
Are the racket hire and tennis balls included in the price?
No you need to provide your own. We sell tennis balls at the centre from £6 per can. You can hire a demo racket from £3 (with £10 deposit or similar). Should you purchase the racket after trying it the deposit will be taken off the retail price.
What happens if it rains?
You need to contact the centre before the time of your booking and ask for a credit note. Credit notes are non-transferable and must be used within 1 month of issue.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
We do not offer refunds against court bookings. You must give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your booking, upon which a credit note will be issued. Credit notes must be used within one month. Any cancellations that occur after the 24 hr deadline will not be refunded.

CARDHOLDER
What is a smart cardholder?
A smart cardholder is able to book courts at a discounted rate up to 7 days in advance. You also get discounts on sports goods, private coaching, drop in sessions and centre events.

How do I become a smart cardholder?
Due to demand there may be a waiting list. Ask at reception to find out if you can apply to the waiting list. If applications are being taken you can pick up a form at any centre or download one at here
How long is a card valid for?
Usually its valid for the tennis season, starting in April (discounted cards offered from October). You will automatically be sent renewal information as the season ends.
COACHING
How do I book an individual session?
Please contact the coach of choice directly. Mobile numbers for coaches are available on the website and at each centre. When leaving a message, please clearly give them your name, contact number and – very important – availability. Coaches aim get in touch within 48 hours, and will offer advice if they are unable to coach at your preferred times.
Can I book a lesson at reception?
No. Our coaches operate on a self-employed basis and organise their own timetables.

How much does an individual session cost?
Prices vary according to the coaches qualifications and time booked (peak or off-peak). Details are on the coaches’ information on the website.
Can 2 or 3 people attend individual sessions?
Yes, you must however let the coach know of your intension as it maybe that you need to work on different skills or have different abilities. There is likely to be an additional fee for a small group session.

Can I cancel my individual session?
Please try to give the coach at least 24 hours notice if you’re going to cancel. The coach may still charge you for missed or cancelled sessions if they cannot be rescheduled.
Can I bring my own coach to the centre?
Only registered coaches are permitted to coach at the centres, but the management will naturally consider exceptional situations.
DROP-IN SESSIONS
What is a drop-in session?
What is a drop-in session?
A drop-in session, in very simple terms, is a pay-and-play coaching session. Numbers are limited on these sessions. You can arrive and register for the session up to 45minutes before the start time (in person not by phone).
Do I need to be a particular standard?
Drop in sessions are designed for different abilities and ages, please check the self assessment as a guide to which session would be right for you.

Can I pre-book a drop-in session?
No, they operate on a 1st come 1st served basis.
Is there a dress code?
There is no formal dress or colour code at the centre, however all players are required to wear non-marking footwear when on court.
Are there changing rooms at your premises?
Yes, there are toilets, changing areas and showers for public use on our premises. As it is a public space, we kindly ask you to clean after yourself as a sign of respect towards other customers.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Do you provide racket restringing service?
Yes, we do. Miro Sikman does all of our restringing and is based at Regents Park. He is very experienced and can be contacted directly on 07747034685 or through the Regents Park Centre.
Do you have a ball machine at your centre?
Unfortunately we don’t - but one can be arranged at a cost of £25 hourly including balls and court.
How do I find a hitting partner?
One of the best ways is to join one of our many drop-in sessions where you can find other players similar to your standard. There are different drop-in sessions which are based on ability and cater for players of all standards. To avoid the session not being the correct one for you or disappointment, please check the self-rating guidelines before joining any of the sessions.
The other way of finding a hitting partner is to look on your centre board and you will find a list where you can add your name and telephone number and standard of play and contact details of other people who wish to find someone to hit with.
Is there a Tennis League?

Do you have a cafe?
Yes, hot and cold drinks and light refreshments are available at all our centres.

Is it possible to take your own food/drinks to the centre or to have a picnic in the gardens?
With the exception of baby food, only food and refreshments purchased at the tennis centre may be consumed in the tennis pavilion or surrounding grounds.
